Headed to the National 4-H Meat Judging Contest

The Suwannee County 4-H Meat Judging Team will be competing in the National 4-H Meat Judging Contest at Kansas State University on Tuesday October 25. We made it to Kansas City at 11:30am local time on Sunday. Here are our judgers, Andrew, Erik, and Tineke,
in our rental once we landed. As you can see, tthey were pretty excited. Here is our fearless leader driving us all around the Heartland, Mr. Brian. We found the first Kansas sign that we could to display our Suwannee County 4-H sign.
After a recommedation from Mrs. Cathy Carr from UF, we ate at Jack Stack BBQ for lunch.
Our judgers were ready for some good bbq. Congrats to Andrew for trying the lamb ribs. And yes, Mr. Brian made them judge their lunch!
As you can see, the group, including Mrs. Cindy and Mindy, had a great lunch. After lunch, we headed south to Stillwater where will practice at their meat lab on Monday morning. The landscape was a big change from Florida. We were able to see this sunset on our drive. By the way, it was way colder in Live Oak than it has been here in Kansas/Oklahoma!
We made it to Oklahoma! We ended up in Stillwater on Sunday night after a long day of traveling.
